WANTED: Both passenger side window channels for '81 300D Mercedes
Does anyone have an '81 300D part car that I could purchase both passenger side window channels from? I recently contacted the dealer to find these parts as a result of having difficulty finding them, and as you might have guessed, he basically wanted one of my kidneys and my first born for the parts. I was hoping someone here could offer them for much cheaper. Thank you all.

I have '84 300D parts... could you please describe what you mean by channels? Is this trim or part of the window regulator?

In all honesty, I have no clue. I was just told by the local glass shop that the window channels (also called window rails, glass rails, etc.) were rusted out and this would prevent me from rolling my windows up and down, as this part was specifically designed to do this. He also said that they are glued onto something, and that about wraps up everything I know about them. Sorry =/

I have both passenger's side window regulators that include the rail it sounds like you're talking about (if it is the lower rail that the window is attached to).

Window Channels
I don't think you can buy just the channels for the windows at a reasonable price. I have both the windows with the channels for 70 dollars shipped to Michigan Jim
