Are you kidding me, how in the Hell did a 14k mile 500E end up at a Nissan Dealership???

who knows??? ...maybe the dealership's owner or upper crust got new toys: an E500 Renntech, E55,CL55, CLK55, S55, and/or M5??? ...that's the only way I would consider selling such a low mile 500e
-fad ...just phoned to get more info on the14k mile one , just for the hell of it.... It is Turner Nissan's owner that is selling the car, asking $49,900. no warranty, yes it has 14,700 mi on the clock, immaculate, stored inside, Pearl Black/ Black, Chromies....oh, and the used car salesman added that, "it must be fun to drive...". -fad Last edited by -fad; 08-16-2001 at 02:02 PM. |

14k in Sacramento reduced last weekend to $41,500. Went up there the first weekend it was advertised and drove it. Very tight, extremely clean, no flaws that I could detect although OEM deck is gone in favor of a Sony head unit and CD changer. Car was stored in Palm Springs and seldom driven, dealer is liquidating "toys", including two jet skis, due to slowdown in sales, according to sales manager Klaus who is taking all inquiries.
I just took delivery of the 81k last night and am enjoying it very much. Just joined the forum and have already solved several minor issues (headrests, front speakers, etc.). Thanks. |

rjfjr- thanks for the info...and congrats, and welcome to 500e ownership...if you please, be sure to post your info on the "500e/e500 roll call" thread.
...you purchased the 85K one in the 510 area code? was the former owner known to us here at Mercedesshop? if you are around the SF Bay Area, we'll surely get together to chat. -fad |

Many Congrats rjfjr,
How about your driving impressions? Details on the car? |

The 14K car was the first I've driven. Very tight, steering pulled somewhat off center, probably due to aftermarket rims and wheels, very wide. Drove like a new car, but then again, I couldn't tell the difference when I subsequently drove the 81k version. Transmission seemed smoothe, as did brakes. Engine strong, suspension fine. Didn't check all the electrical (rear screen, headrest, lights, wipers, etc.) Can't recall if it had the OEM phone or not.
I'll look for the other thread recommended. I'm in the Bay Area. |
