WTB: Sheet Metal for W123
I have some rust that I need to repair. The area needed is this
It is the area behind the left rear wheel and inside the trunk. |

I would just make something for the flat area in the trunk by hand with some sheet metal from the hardware store and an angle grinder. I have that bit of fender that I have been saving, but I might be able to be convinced to let go of it.

I could do that but recently, over the past 3 years, its creeped slightly up the wheel arch, about 3/4" from where it used to be so I need to have the wheel arch lip replaced where the cancer has gotten it.

The wheel arch is the bit I have. You should be able to make a piece that patches the hole in the trunk in a hour or less with an angle grinder. Use thinner sheet metal than I did though. Then cut out the rust and weld the patch in, or (not as good) clean and POR-15 the rust and seam-glue the patch in...this is not really a structural area.

I could just use naval jelly to eat away all of the rust and do a patch panel like you did and just use some body filler to reshape the wheel arch.
