WTB: W140 turbodiesel exhaust manifold
I'm looking to purchase an exhaust manifold and downpipe from a W140 with the 603.97 3.5L turbodiesel engine.
Any tips as to where I might be able to locate such an item are greatly appreciated. Last edited by Zeitgeist; 07-12-2008 at 11:50 AM. |

The title of my thread got my hopes up for buying one myself... shame on you for no "WTB" in the title

Are they the same as a 86-87 OM603 3.0L?

No, they do not have the "log" section where the Trap Oxidizer was originally fitted. The turbo attaches directly to the manifold, rather than via that rather convoluted log configuration.

US .970 also has the log though they weren't sold with a trap.

Correct, the 603.97 as fitted in the 126 chassis is no different than the earlier 603.96 as fitted in the 124 models. The manifold I'm looking for only showed up here in NA on the 603.97 once it was fitted in the 140 chassis. It's also the same as used in other markets as a standard 603 turbo manifold, except it has an EGR port.
