GETRAG 717.400 5 Speed Manual Transmission Installation Package/ Euro M110.988 Engine
I’m located on Cape Cod in SE Massachusetts and I will be parting out a Euro 1983 280TE with 173K miles on it .The engine is an M110.988 rated at approximately 185HP, it starts, idles and runs excellent. The drive train is a 5 speed GETRAG manual transmission 717.400 with a 3.69 ratio differential which works perfectly.
The vehicle is complete and running at this time and therefore available to inspect it running and limited driving (it’s not registered, insured, or inspected at this time). The engine is available for $500. The transmission and all associated driveline components from the flywheel to the differential (as well as clutch/brake pedal set and the shifter parts) are available for $1750. I can also substitute a 617 specific flywheel/clutch from a Euro 1984 300D 717.400 installation for an additional $300. If you are interested in either the engine or the transmission installation package please contact me via PM with any questions. Once the engine and tranny have been removed I will be parting out the remaining chassis parts; excellent Palomino interior (heated leather front seats), a perfect black dash, Euro headlights with wipers, Euro bumpers and factory Oris trailer hitch, a complete ABS installation package. Thanks and good luck! |

Update! Sorry
I apologise for not posting an update sooner for those who have recently expressed an interest, this particular 5 speed transmission installation package along with the gas engine descibed was sold back in August shortly after it was posted.
The remainder of the vehicle is available and ready to be disassembled as needed, I'll be posting a more detailed listing of the parts available and some pictures soon. Thanks and good luck! |

Hey,
As for the Getrag 717.400 trans set-up, I am interested. I will try a PM, for some reason they are not going thru. My email is Blevins_49@hotmail.com. I can get it this weekend. Driving from Columbia, SC if necessary. Thanks. Mark |

If you look under the original poster's user name you'll see the words "banned" - PMs won't work. You could try asking a moderator if they will pass on a message - otherwise start a thread in open discussion to see if anyone has his contact details?
