I've lost one of my centercaps from a 14" chromed aftermarket Ronel wheel. Does anyone have one or two that they'd sell me? These are aftermarket wheels, and the center hole is a VERY tiny bit larger than factory wheels, and the factory centercap is too small...

My email is tony@lehrmanGroup.com.

Tony,

YES, I have been looking for that same center cap since last year. These wheels were a dealer installed option when my 450 SLC was new. My local MB dealer couldn't find any but they did give me a number to call at Ronal.

I called Ronal and talked to a long time employee who knew exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately they haven't made those center caps in ten years. He did tell me that they sold lots of these 14" wheels, especially in the West Coast (my car was originally sold in Phoenix). He said that if I were to search salvage yards in the L.A. area, I could probably find some. Since I live in MN, this was not a practical option.

If there is ANYONE out there who lives/knows of someone in the LA area and could find some of these center caps, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Of course I'll certainly pay whatever it's worth. If I have to buy the whole wheel just to get the cap, I'll do that too.

Tony, if you hear of anything, please e-mail me; I'll do the same. Thanks!

Bill
