FWIW, trash the Becker. Replace it with a Pioneer. I am soooo glad I did that swap on my 87SEL. I replaced the Becker twice with another Becker and had the same old lousy sound quality and reception. One of the replacements was a rebuilt unit. I did not change the speakers. The car came alive with the Pioneer. You can go to Crutchfiled and they sell a interconnect wiring harness. Makes the job easy.

It does not look "Euro", but my response to that is - do you watch the radio or listen to it?

The becker in my '91 was first-rate for its time, several speakers including subwoofers, speed-controlled volume, great reception, CD changer, completely different than my '87s have.

Look for the premium system.
