FS: Alpine CDA9885 & 2 pairs MB Quart 4" $300

I recently sold my 92 300TE and am selling the stereo system that worked so well in it. This system is practically a drop-in for anyone with a W124 wagon (ok, you have to re-do some wiring, but everyone deals with that).

The CD player is an Alpine CDA-9885 which I bought about a year ago. It's worked perfectly and sounds very nice.

The two pairs of MB Quart speakers are what make this system perfect for a W124 wagon.

Front Dash: MB Quart QM 100.03 KX 4". (2-way) A very nice fit for the factory openings, maybe a bit smaller than the OE units. To fill the slight gap I used some foam weatherstripping with an adhesive side that I wrapped around the circumference of the speakers Sounds like a kludge, but works well to seal the 1/8" gap and is cheap. These have external crossovers which can fit down in the dash with no problems.

Back Doors: MB Quart QM 100 KN-S 4" (2-way). To fit into the factory holes, I cut off the mounting tabs. Then re-install the semi-circular bracket that held in the factory speakers and you are all set. No gaps. These also have external crossovers, which fit fine in the bottom of the door cavity.

Since the external crossovers are "loose" (not mounted), I wrapped some foam around each of them so they wouldn't knock around in the dash or the doors, and this has worked well.

I'm not sure how well the speakers I am using in the rear doors would work in another car because the mounting tabs have been removed. They fit perfect in the wagon doors, but not sure of other cars/locations.

I paid $325 for the CD unit last year, and $400 for the two pairs of speakers about eight years ago. I think the CD unit is still available (new) around the web for ~$200 so if you factor that in plus two nice pairs of speakers....

I'd like to get $300 for the CD unit and the two pairs of speakers. It's a very nice combination, and is ideal for someone with a wagon and is trying to figure out what to do. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.

Thanks!
