If all of the panels are numbered (and the numbers match) combined with no (or a max of 1 panel) has been painted, then that is also a strong selling point. If not, it can still be a great car. It is just that auction price, hence professional interest, is great without any paintwork.

Let me add then that All body panels have matching numbers and the car has never been wrecked or painted. I also liked the tip about looking inside the oil cap to see if the cams are mirror'ry OR discolored. I'll also add that mine are clean and mirror'ry due to the consistent/frequent oil changes and overall care.
