Super Production 280e race car

1980 280e 275hp Electromotive distributor less ign,Reed cams,Tilton hydrolics with late 126 drilled rotors,Autometer,392 locked rear,Koni,Jamex, Fuel Safe Cell, etc. Has not been raced since Oct 96, but has been kept up. Fun, fast, and different. 1:40's at old Road Atlanta,150mph at Daytona. The car is set up for road racing which includes solo 1. Solo 2 would be rough,it has a euro manual steering box.The car took second place in the South Atlantic Road Racing Championship (S.E. Div. SCCA)in 1996. $10,000 obo or partial trade. Peter,
The car they are talking about is nowhere close to street legal. Anything they do to it would not be "do-able" to a normal daily-driver W124. As for tips...rip our your interior, weld in a rollcage, rip off all the cats and have a straight pipes for exhaust, add a fuel cell, and convert the engine to run on leaded racing fuel.
