15 inch wheels?

Anyone in norcal (or so-cal) have a set of wheels they want to sell me? Ive been searching craigslist daily for weeks and cant find any 15 inch wheels I like. Im looking for a set of those 15 hole S class rims for the 126. 14 inch wheels are just disgusting on this big car. Tires are a plus obviosuly.

I ask here and not in the parts or wheels becuase Knowone actually goes to those areas of the site. And plus, lots of diesel discussioners are from california. Im sort of scrambling to get things done (got the front rebuilt, new shocks, now I need paint and new wheels and tires) before I go to LA in a few weeks, then in spring im driving to new york, then across Canada to BC then to anchorage then back home, so my car must be in TOP condition for the 10k drive.

Im looking for any decent looking mercedes 15 inchers. Must fit the low offset w126 and not be "bootylicious".

And if anyone has a set of these http://www.mercedesforum.com/upfiles/7896/0218EF9F4B874588BF1D7FD489B3E42D.jpg
consider them sold

There was a set of those chrome 5 spoke wheels on a blue Euro W126 at an Oceanside (southern CA) junkyard (Ecology).

Turbobenz,
I happen to have 10 15 hole 15" MB 126 wheels and tires...they all happen to be on both my SEC's at present, but I am in the process of getting 16" Centra's back on the Bluebird, just as soon as possible after she passes Smog.

I'm sure we can find five of the better ones out of the ten. Tires are so-so and would have to be interchanged with the wheels I would keep, but 5 good ones,( None are perfect), can be arranged.

How soon do you need them and I don't have the foggiest idea how much either??, but the offer stands, if you want them you got them.

I do intend to go 16 " Penta's and or Centra's on both cars as soon as possible.

Where were you when I was trying to sell the 5 from my '91???

Anyway, I believe that there are two widths for the late 126, 6" and 6.5"?

are they still interchangeable even though the widths are different? I'm not sure if they made revisions to the 126 suspension when they stretched the wheelbase.

Chadahar, ill send you a pm later, im too busy now. If they dont have tires, I may still buy them. Depends on the condition and price.

I forget which years have which widths. Possibly 560s had 7" through 91. You can use either width with any 126.

They have tires but they are not the best. I'm driving on them, but they are far from new. Wheels are in pretty good shape, and I think I can find 5 out of ten that look very good. I'll try to get some good pictures tomorrow to PM you. They have 4 center caps, each set, too.
They're on the cars right now(and in the trunks).

As I under stand it, the Gen II's will fit either Gen I or Gen II, but the Gen I's will only fit the Gen I's as the Gen II have a different caliper on the rear and will bind on the Gen I wheels. I know these fit both the '84 and the '89 SEC's.

Chrome or painted?

Its probably better if I get new tires, I really need the best I can buy (who knows what I may encounter).

I believe that the diesels always ran the 6.5', where the big gassers ran the 7".
