FS: 1988 w124 300TE parts
 

Okay -- here is the deal. A 1988 w124 300TE showed up in the boneyard --- the boneyard that crushes cars in about 45 days. With Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching, I will probably have only 2 opportunities to visit this car before it gets crushed.

The car has 201K miles on it; yes it is an E (gasser) and has Palamino interior. I don't have pics, so I'll go from my usual "failing" memory:

• Don't remember the sun visors.
• The 2nd row seats look a bit worn on the backs of the door "seating" passenger areas.
• All three of the 2nd row headrests are in place.
• The cargo area net and cover assembly is in tack.
• The 3rd row seat is pristine.
• I removed the tailer hitch (sleeve type; no ball) from the frame; have all the hardware; plus the trailer lights hookup -- will post pics later.
• The shifter console wood was okay --- no peeling wood, but normal cracked lines in the finish.
• SLS and hydraulic struts are in place.
• All door and cargo panels are in place.
• Looked like an old fender bender in the front passenger side corner.
• Don't have a clue why it is in the bone yard.

Included are the 4 mounting bolts and nuts; and 3 lock washers --- missing one.

Somebody with a W124 wagon will probably be all over that hitch!! Draw-Tite!! Nice......

You think so? What do you think it is worth to a good home? I have no idea what parts are worth to some people.....

Come on people......43 days and counting left on the complete car; the only obvious body damage is to the passenger front fender in the corner --- I think the turn signal had been replaced.

Bump --- Anyone want the trailer hitch?
 

Does anyone want this trailer hitch or anything else off the car? So, far, I've only gotten 3 requests and it didn't include the trailer hitch.

i want the hitch. name a fair price. i built one for my 82 wagon for about $30 bucks in steel but don't really want to make another one. for a few bucks more i'd happily buy it.

This trailer hitch mounts to the frame. Asking $150 plus shipping --- I use Parcel Post or Greyhound. Open to a reasonable offer.

Okay, I've got 2 customers that want a whole slew of parts off the wagon, so my weekend plans are shaping up to include a trip to the wagon.

IF there is anyone who wants anything off of this car, please speak up. This might be the last time I see "her".
