WTB: ET35 or ET36 15" or 16" wheels.

EDIT: it should have said ET37 not 36. My 17s were 37.

I've recently bent my 17" E430 rims (they still hold air but the ride is bumpy as heck) and am looking for some replacement rims. I found a place where I can buy a set of these:

For $500

I was just puttin a feeler out there to see if anyone has any ET35-37 rims that they were interested in selling...

Thanks

Kris

Im not sure 49 would work....I think I'm going for a lower offset..not higher...
I know that my ET37s fit fine. whatever offset is on these 8-hole rims I have now, doesnt work entirely...

The '49s would sit 1/2" closer to the tie rod.

hmmm...

is ET37 higher than the 8-holes offset?

I know my 17s were a-ok with clearance and rubbing issues..

These 8-holes :

Original E430 17x7.5" ET37's

THe only rubbing I'm having right now, is from the passenger rear tire, the edge of the fender rubs against the outside of the tire...

Don't know the offset of the 8 hole wheels.

If you have the 37's.........see how much clearance exists between the wheel and the tie rod. If there is more than 1/2", the 49's will be OK. They certainly will eliminate any rubbing on the fender. It appears that the 37's are a bit too far outside..........

1/2" clearance when turning or when the wheels are straight?

the ET37s are the 17" E430...I think the 8-holes are much more outside than the 17"s...

The clearance to the tie rod is fixed..........position of the steering won't matter..........the tie rod moves with the wheel.

tomorrow I'll pull off the 8-hole wheel and see what offset it is...and measure that distance..

Forgotten dimension

You failed to mention the rim width. The inner and out clearance will be different for the same ET for different width rims. I have a like new set of Lorinser AMG look alike's that are 16x8 ET 33 for sale.
