1 Inch Coolant Hose
This is for a large ex school bus... All the coolant lines are 1" and the fuel line is 1/2 inch. I am installing a 150 gallon veggie tank with a 9 plate heat exchanger inside the tank and my brother and I are building a heat exchanger out of 4 inch aluminum tubing(26 inches long) for fuel with a 1 1/2 inch aluminum tube(hot coolant) running down the center and necked down to 1" aluminum for the coolant hose. This heat exchanger will be about 30 inches before the mechanical pump on the engine. I might need to also use electrical heat the last 12 inches or so. Do you think we will need to have small vent valves at the high places to vent the air from the coolant and from the fuel??? Over time will the coolant and fuel move the air out of the lines??/
I am going to also use your suggestion with the tee's and the compression fittings for my car... I have a friend that has that exact same inner/outer in his car.. Jim
