need 300TD (wagon) rear spring(s)

I want to borrow or if necessary buy a rear spring off a 123 wagon to send up to a spring manufacturer to reproduce as stronger spring. Anyone have a rear spring available for this? Email me if you do.

just call coil spring specialties and they will make any spring rate. They have the W123 spring rate in their books last I checked.. plus the TD didnt have springs in the rear.

yes the TD has springs in the rear, and I may have a couple. need to call the scrap yard and see if they can take the car without them.

:) having helped a friend bring a car without any springs to the scrap yard I can say some nice pieces of 4x4 wood help. The brake man, if you're ambitious enough, will have a really harsh ride.

That is who I called, CSS has done several springs for me before and they turned out excellent.
They want a spring from the application to check it somehow, despite having all the spec books.
Now I am thinking of just replacing the gas cells and calling it quits because someone on the SHopforum wrote up a scenario where weak springs can cause premature failure in the cells because the hydrau gets activated more than it would if the springs were of the correct spec. I dunno, but that almost convinced me to replace the springs but my mechanic friend say baloney so I am going to forget them.
Comments?

Maybe you meant shocks? they do not have shocks of the normal variety, I'll grant you that. every 300TD I've ever seen has springs on the rear.
