1987 300SDL Parts Car --- What do you want?
 

Edit: 09/27/2009 --- Parts car is gone. I still have a few parts from it. I will update this thread later this week with the parts that are left in my possession. The parts car has a new owner and is resting quietly in central(ish) Ohio.

STILL AVAILABLE --- folks keep asking about these:
1) The rear seat (rare reclining seat option) is still available. The bottom has about a 4 inch split near the arm rest. The back is in very good condition. Asking $100 for both pieces. I will not ship at these price levels. If someone wants just the cover from the back, I may consider separating ---- the springs are in very good condition.

2) The ignition key looks very new. Comes with 2 keys. All locks will be sold as a set --- trunk, glove box, ignition, and front door handles. Asking $100 for the entire lockset. SALE PENDING.

3) The center console is very nice as you can tell as is all the wood. I would like to sell all the wood as a set if next car does not need center console. Asking $150 for the center console, dash wood (includes glovebox), all wood trim from all 4 door panels. Also includes the ashtray and the wood trim where ACC and switches are located. SALE PENDING.

4) Interior Panels are available. Driver's side rear is sold. Driver side front --- SALE PENDING. All other panels are still available.

Gee, I wonder what happened to the head?;)

How many injector lines are left? What is the condition of the hood?

How much for the exhaust manifold tube going to the turbo? I want to drill and tap a pyrometer. Also does the Becker work? If so, how much for it?

Too bad about the KLIMA, I could have used it:D

Oh one other thing, the sunglass cup attached to the shift console, how much? I want to mount the boost and pyro there. I have the one from my SD but it is gray... Come to think of it, how much for the wood surrounding the shifter and the power window switch (left side) Mine blew a bulb for the driver's window...

I'm sure I will think of more things as the day goes on;)

Haven't heard from injector line buyer, yet, but he is not a regular on this forum ---- yet.:D
Hood is not original; I think the good hood was pulled and this hood was put in its place; as I recall it had a hole in it, but I will double check this weekend.

The PO pulled the head to keep --- that wasn't the issue with the engine; the problem with the engine is one of the cylinder walls needs to be bored out.

LUVMBDiesels --- sunglass cup? Do you mean the coin tray? I can't see the pics here at work. I'll have to look at the project car before I can comment on the center console.

Coda's badges do. Maybe your badges are "customized".

I'm interested in:

• Horns
• The actual exhaust manifold to the head (not what LUVMB wants)
• Intake manifold and crossover pipe
• Left rear door handle
• Left rear door latch
• Right rear window motor
• Rear hard brake line
• Some of the dashboard wood trim
• Aux water pump
• IP (depending on how cheap)

Would you be willing to let me drive up there and help you take the parts off? It will cost about $30 round trip from Starkville, and shipping will easily cost that much.... Also, the brake line will be a good size, and maybe I could get a discount if I helped you pull the parts off ;) Besides, I'll be looking at the car and go "Ooh! I also need that!"

Wheels have already been offered to someone else.....because I KNEW he needed them for his pristine 300SDL. If he doesn't take them, I'll be in touch with you.
