Need Shorter LUGS
I just bought some newer style rims for my 1993 300D. The rims supposedly came off a 95+ 300 Coupe. They are the 8 Hole type with the number KBA 42359 stamped on the rim. They seem to fit fine but the lugs are too long for the rear wheels and interfere with the brake mechanism.
Questions: Does anyone know what length lugs I need for the new rims and would it be a good idea to replace ALL the lugs with shorter ones even though the fronts seem to spin freely and are tight? I'm concerned that there is not enough thread grabbing them. Also, my local STEALERSHIP (Fletcher Jones in Chicago) wants $12.95 EACH for lugs. I believe that this is criminal gouging and have decided NEVER to buy anything from them again since they seem to want to take advantage of customers. Thanks for any help. |

I have a set of 20 of the later type bolts from a '92 400E that will fit the later rims.
If you want some pictures send me an email address.

How much do you want for them? My email is jhouilhan@gmail.com |
