Parting 82 300SD

I have the remains of my donor 300SD, no engine or transmission, and I'm grabbing the brakes, but everything else is up for sale. Located in Rexburg, ID about 1.5hrs from Jackson, WY and three hours from Salt Lake City.
Details:
The paint is shot, the interior is pretty trashed, but there is next to no rust on the car. I have the exhaust, factory air cleaner, 5 wheels with ZERO curb rash, lights, gauges (odo doesn't work), rebuilt climate control, and most any other little bit. I'd really like to get this car out of here by Christmas.
Make an offer, transport and shipping available.

I know the engine is gone, but do you still have the glow plug relay as well as the two plugs/wiring harness that plug into the relay?

I have the relay, now I am looking to get the wiring harness for the relay.

Thanks,

dave

Sorry, I need to hang on to that for the vehicle this engine is going into.

Final bump. Serious stripping this weekend, and it'll be dragged onto the trailer for disposal. I'm going to pull a few odds and ends, but unless someone speaks up, it'll be gone.

are you using the transmission on your swap ?
do you have a thread on your courier / m.b. swap ?
I was thinking of doing a diesel swap into a ranger and looking for info.

Climate Control Unit is sold pending payment-

I am not using the Mercedes transmission, I sold that. I am making an adapter and using a Ford 300-6 flywheel with an M5R2 5speed and I haven't decided what transfer case yet. Probably a GM 208, so it'll have the right hand drop I'll need.
My swap is a little tighter than yours since the footwells actually intrude into the engine compartment. I'll most likely have to cut out part of the firewall and move it back a bit to keep the radiator in a close to stock location.
I've started a thread in the forum at fordcouriercollector.com (same SN there, it's in the engine forum), but once I get the whole thing underway I'll do a thread here.

I was looking at the picture of your car and wondering if those fenders, hood, and, grill, might fit my 86 300sdl, shipping would be a problem $$
anyway, I found that Bendtsen's Transmission Center Inc. in Mn. sells an adapter /kit to mate a G.M. 700r4 automatic to a M.B. 5cyl.diesel. this might also fit a manual trans belhousing. Recently found this info, thought it might help, bob...

I'm using a Ford small block bell M5R2 five speed, I did see that adapter but it's ridiculously overpriced, and the only five speed I could use is a T5. Plus, the S10 clutch that fits it is an 8 or 9" unit, I'm going with an 11" one so I don't have any hold issues at low rpm.
I'm not 100% sure on if body parts will swap over, this car is a W126 and I think yours is as well so they should-
I'll probably pull the front clip off and hang onto that if it doesn't sell, since someone will need crash parts sooner or later.

Im late but just joined if that helps.

Have an 85 300D that some crack head ripped the radio out of.

I could sure use the piece that holds the console together.

Your car is a W123, the interior is pretty different. On mine, the console is all one piece from under the dash to the rear seat vents, including the cross pieces above and below the radio cubby.

I do, and interior wood is zebrano, but none of it is very good. The upper piece around the heater controls is -ok-, the lower edge has delaminations, and there is a crack in it, but the lower piece around the shifter console is trashed.
The majority of the interior of this car is a write-off. Many modules and switches and motors still work, but it's pretty rough to look at.

Ok, I am putting the car on the trailer this weekend. Parts I am keeping for later availability:
Front fenders, hood with hinges, bumper, radiator
Any module I can reach under the dash
Blower motor (plus came with a spare)
Vacuum pump (plus a spare also)
5 14" bundts and jack
Window motors
Wiper motor
Mono valve

How popular is the rear diff in these cars? I don't have the space for it to just be sitting for long term, but if it's commonly needed, I'll pull it.

Taillights lenses and lamp boards

Anything else? Not much else that's that great.
