Lightbulb W126 Gen 1 interior search...

I'm looking for a decent parts car with a full Gen 1 (85 and down) interior in good condition or just the interior iteself.

Black (In know) or Gray.

I need the dash, seats (front and back) and door panels. I'm lazy and don't want to re-cover the seats. Local preferred NY,NJ,CT,PA,DE

Thanks,.

Did you say a Black w126 Gen I parts car? Is there such a thing?

I just inherited a few parts cars --- w123 and w126; have no idea what condition they are in...yet.

I can probably find most anything you are looking for......but a whole, nice interior inside one parts car???? I never see that.

Makes me sorry I passed up a whole interior in a Gen II 500SEL in Grey. It was wonderful and was intact(I was there at the right time...wrong car..at the time). Didn't have an SEL at the time. Went back a few days later and someone had bought the whole interior, so I know it went to a good cause.

I'm looking for the lower seat (passenger) surround trim piece for a Gen I coupe in Grey. Held on my two clips in the seat rail bottom and two trim screws. BB is missing hers.

nice grey sun visors

I dug a decent set of gray sun visors (w126) with clips out of my storage space today if either of you need them.

I usually ask $50 plus shipping but I think there is a small defect in one. I didn't have my reading glasses on, so I couldn't tell if it was a small tear or dirt or grease spot on one of them.

Sun Visors are the only think not sun faded or stained on the 500SE... The passenger side front seat is also pretty clean..

Just mainly looking for a good Driver side seat and non sun faded gray door panels..

Why don't you try SEM products. Their Grey matches very well and if you follow the instructions do a great unnoticeable job. A member of another Forum used that to restore his 300SD and it looks factory fresh. I will be using SEM products along with Leatherique products to redo my interior when the time comes.

Daw-Two,
I just bought a set of Gen I visors from you, am doing a bit of restoration on the Vanities as I write this. Thanks again.

Ah, yes, and a Euro Light switch if I recall correctly. I think I used my new junkyard toolbox box to send those to you. I take it everything arrived in good shape, right?

My new junkyard toolbox is pretty heavy --- I probably need to cull some tools out of it.

Yep everything arrived in fine shape. Found out I didn't need the switch afterall, as the one in BB IS a Euro one with the light bulb in then end, and the rear Fog light does work...when I remembered how to actuate it. Pull out one click for front fogs, two clicks for rear fog. I remember now that the PO showed me that feature the day I bought the car. I promptly forgot about it....DUH.
The switch I got from you is in the spares box now. I put a new bulb(orange Dot in the switch handle) in both switches first though. I did need the bezel though.

I need a tool box in the worst way. A Plastic Kitty Litter bucket with everything in it just don't get it.

Thanks again.

Thumbs up

SWB grey stuff in good shape? Took me years to find a complete one so all parts had the same fading. This includes dash, panels, etc.

Consider dying like others said, Colorplus works very well. Used this on the interior of my '83 745i.
