Looks to me like a 2.88 differential, as the top speed is 125mph instead of 85mph. Please confirm this.

Here is the original sized image of the back. I'm not home right now but from this photo I see 3 pins on the tach connector. I neglected to check the year of the car this came from, sorry about that.

I am seeing dates of 1.84 and I am making out the part number to be 123 542 18 57. Which makes this speedometer calibrated for a 3.07 ratio differential.
Stan, what's the numbers printed on the sticker on the back of the speedo, under the VDO cruise control plug.. Looks like K=1200 and there should be more. But that number so far also suggest a 3.07 ratio calibration. .

Is there a part number on the tach? I'm in the market for one (or the cluster) for my 84 300D, but I'm a little cautious because the last one I got didn't work. According to the EPC, mine needs to be 002 542 7616. I can't make out the numbers on this one, but perhaps you can.
