WTB: Side view mirror assy. 97 W210

Left side (driver). The wife parked on a busy street yesterday and some maggot bobtailing in a truck took the mirror off with his rear wheel and kept going. I guess it could have been worse. Prefer silver but I know that really hurts the odds of finding one. I will buy any color and repaint if necesary. Thanks Jim

Is it broken? Or missing altogether? These mirrors have a common failure point that causes it to flop around all loose like, but it is easily repairable...

I just got one today from a parts recycler and when I got it home I discovered that one of the hinge pins was sheared off at the bottom. I am going to try to swap pins off of the old one that took quite a whack but has some salvagable parts. Tell me of this easy repair you speak of. Thanks Jim

Thumbs up

Thanks for the tip on the easy fix Lupin. I found Ndoc's fine write up on this subject. I am doing this as I type and it looks like it will work well. Thanks to both of you. Jim
