WTB 77 300d (W123) speedometer
 

My odometer does not work. Would like to just replace the whole speedometer.
this is the earliest, and mih larger than the one in my W126.

A speedo from any 77-81 300D, 78-81 300CD and 78-80 300TD will also work.

Just needs to be non-turbo OM617. They were all mechanical with speedo cables and the same gearing in those years. 240D and turbo motors had different gearing.
This might widen up the search a bit.

I have one (w/silver centre piece). I have checked the speedo but not the odometer. What is the top speed reading you need on the face. If you don't replace the exact max MPH indication, you will have an erronious reading.

max speed is 115. and mine has the silver center on the needle base also.

I just checked mine; it pegs at 85MPH. I don't think it will work for you, sorry.
