4 X 195/65-R15 NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta RSi mounted
Winter is coming...
4 X 195/65-R15 NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta RSi ice & snow tires mounted on 15", 8-hole alloy rims (with center caps) for W124 chassis automobiles (eg. from '86 300E through '95 E320). Purchased prior to the onset of winter in Calgary, Alberta in 2007 and removed them in March of 2008. I now reside in Houston, Tx and do not require these specialized tires in this climate. To the best of my knowledge they are OEM wheels. They were pulled from two '94s & a '93 chassis at a salvage yard in South Texas. If there are identifying marks or numbers to denote whether they are OEM or aftermarket, please advise and I will provide photographs to help make that determination for you.

There will be part numbers on the back of the wheel starting with 124, and a star.
'93 sedans and wagons should have 15-hole wheels.

Thank-you for the correction on the years the 8 hole wheels were fitted to W124s. I took the salvage yard's word for it, re: '93, at the time. I had a '93 and it had 15 hole wheels. A few years later... I failed to make the connection. Therefore, the wheels came from either '94 and '95 chassis W124. Again, thank-you for pointing this out.
As to the subject of OEM or aftermarket, the inside of the wheels have the following identifying marks: 1) The Mercedes Benz star followed by 124 401 1202. 2) ET 44 3) 6 1/2 J X 15 H2 4) Made in Germany

8 hole wheels in 1993...
Babymog, I was digging through some of the sales brochures collected over the years and stumbled upon the 1993 300 Class. It turns out that the 15 hole wheels were, as you correctly pointed out, standard issue on the 300D 2.5 Diesel, 300E 2.8, 300CE, 300E & TE, & 300E and TE 4Matic; however, 8 hole wheels were included in the "Sportline" option for the 300E & 300CE according to MBNA's marketing communication MC-92-103-200

Hi Scott,
yes, it was something I over-looked when I took the opportunity down here. I felt it was my one chance to stay employed in the O&G business. I made a hasty retreat from Dodge (actually, Calgary) before everything took a major turn down. Now I am stuck with these wheels and tires that do not have much application (that is, none) in the southern climate. Yes, I agree they are great tires and served us very well; highly recommended.

I would love to have them, the wheels and tires, but once I looked at shipping, ... ouch. That's why I stopped asking about them, otherwise they are a nice winter tire&wheel set for a 124 owner at a reasonable price (are you listening Paul?).
FWIW, I believe that the regular 15-hole wheel lug-bolts fit these 8-hole wheels fine, another reason it's a nice winter swap (not so with the aftermarket wheels).
