Parting 1987 300D sedan #20 head
I'm parting out an '87 diesel sedan
Its a barn find, had a TON of money spent on it, and then just left to sit. Has a rebuilt or new (not sure which) #20, with new injectors & new glow plugs & new camshaft. Inside the cam cover looks like a new engine. Rebuilt turbo. I am going to compression test the motor this week to check the bottom end. Full set of Bilsteins, on the car, but never driven on the road. All the suspension parts are new, with new control arms, still have the MB stickers on them. All the steering links are new. Car is 199 black over medium red tex. email me directly for parts dhendy3697@aol.com

Why not get it driving again and sell the whole car? It seems a shame to part it out if it is complete and driveable.

For some ungodly reason the owner decided to begin parting it out, INSIDE OUT. Plus the he felt that the best tool to use for interior part removal was a PRY BAR!!
In addition the car looks like it has spent 20 years in the Gobi Desert, the paint is flatter than a snakes belly. Rocker panels are rusty, front fenders are shot. I've taken many better shells to the crusher. Unfortunately all the value is in the mechanicals (which is what the wife says about me!).
