WTB: Center console for my 300SEL W126
 

I'm hoping someone has a nicer GenII center console than my current one before I spend time cleaning the sticky switches.

I will pay handsomely depending on condition. The current one I have is fairly cracked, but will clean up nice. If anyone has a nice to really really nice one they are willing to part with please PM. Thanks.

daw, I can't really tell from the photos what condition its in. It looks like its in about the same condition as mine... little spider web cracks all over.

IT's so difficult to photograph these things. Yes, there are a few cracks in the shellac, but no peeling nor flaking. I thought you said you had a "fairly cracked" one --- I took that to mean it was peeling and flaking. It sounds like you are looking for one in the same shape as the w123 shifter console wood trim you got from me. THAT was rare.

Is there a special way to preserve these things? Mine is cracked and splitting all over. I think it served as a drink tray before I got her. What would it cost me to get one like that Daw?
