OE 500E wheel set with tires....

In very nice condition, with some decent Michelin Energy tires (225/55/16). They're just taking up room in the garage. Maybe you need a spare set to save your concours wheels, or have some bent or curbed ones. This is the early 92/93 style forged 8x16. They also make a nice upgrade for early R129 SL that have those awful disc wheels on them. I'm thinking around $500 for the set....or something pretty close. Would rather do it locally (I'm near Atlanta), but do have a paypal account; if you want to ship them, I'll try. I'll get some pix up shortly. Thanks...

Pix, and a little more info...

Two have a very small amount of curb rash. One of the ones that has a bit of rash also has a small amount of clear craze. Small and not spreading, as a matter of fact, I think I can make it better. Tires are actually Michelin XGT V4, and two are better than I remembered. Two are only fair, but are servicable. Here's some pix, I have more if you need them. just make me a fair offer to get them out of the way!

These also work great....

on early R129 SL's. Do you have those tacky disc style wheels? These are a great cheap upgrade. Make me a reasonable offer to get them out of the way! Thanks....

Any chance of ditching the tires and shipping just the rims? Lugs bolts included?

Can you post the part number off the back of one of them too... thanks.

Thumbs up

Its just that its exponentially cheaper to ship rims only. I already have 4 245/50/16s Pilot Sports that will do nicely.

Thanks for the part number pix, they are true 500E rims, not ones from an R129.... not that it matters much. Do you have the special long shank lugs too? That would be key to the sale (to me again).

I can't confirm that I have the lugs......

although I probably have 100 of them in the garage. I could judeg them by length, but don't know that they are the riht thread. I replaced those 500E wheels with the 17" evo, and I think I used the OE lugs....

Does anyone know if these will fit a regular 124 car, not a 500E?

No.

Offset is way wrong, and too wide. About the only other thing they will work on is a 129, or some 126 with a spacer. Sorry..

According to those who've done it: yes.

Here's the thread:
16" 8-holes on a 124

I have 16" 8 Hole 124 part# 500E wheels on my coupe. I even have an absolutely mint spare.

So yes, Larry, they'll fit a regular W124 without a problem. I don't have rubbing even with my Sportline suspension. I'm using 225/50 to keep the speedometer somewhat accurate, however 225/55 for more sidewall should do just fine, but one would be off on their speedo just a tad at highway speeds.

I've seen this rim fitted on W201s too. The offset is 34mm. Your tire selections may vary, especially on the rear hub.

Wheel bolts specified are the B6 647 0133, same as with the EvoIIs...the old OE long shank bolts are NLA I guess. Figures. I know my old OE ones are long gone, they were nasty. So, no lugs eh?

Let me look....

And see if I can find the right ones. I think I have them, but I 'm unsure how to identify them.
