You shouldn't laugh, that's an approach that can work...Just purchased a 95 E320 sedan as "parts" to get the two year old replacement harness (did homework to ensure correct part number). Trouble is that the car is way to good to part out so I put a band-aid on the trans. 2-3 shift flare and now drive it every day. It will need a trans in the future, but I'll address that when it happens. Only downside is that something has to get sold
