300 SDL Oil Pan needed 1987

Hello, I just cracked my oil pan and I am looking for a used one or a good source for a new one. I am located in FL.. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Have you considered taking it to a hi quality welding facility? The source I use is sold out of them but judging from the picture it could be in the $300 range to replace. Perhaps a good shop could straighten it out without a much larger expense. Good luck. dave

If you decide to call around you want to tell them it's cast aluminum (which is a guess on my behalf). That's what it looks like anyway. They would have to be able to that specific type of welding. dave

1992-140-300SD

Would a 1992-140-300SD have the same oil pan??
It has the same basic engine??? Any ideas or suggestions... Jim

Consider welding

I don't see any pictures posted in this thread, but if you want to email/pm them to me I can take a look at. I do all the welding for our machine job shop (including aluminum TIG welding), and unless the pan is severly mangled, I would anticipate that it should be readily welded - would need to be thoroughly cleaned prior to welding. If the damage is in/around any sealing surfaces, it may require some machining after welding.
