WANTED Turbo Engine
 

I meed an OM617.952 engine from a rustbucket or wreck . 1984 a plus but whatever works .

I'd prefer to buy the entire engine , or will drag away a shytebox car if necessary .

I'm in So. Cal. but can travel .

I'll be wanting to compression test it before taking it .

I'll return the core engine (runs great but # 5 cylinder has collapsed rings) if you want it , no worries .

Don't sweat it man I heard wrecker yards near you have that type of stuff and pretty cheap....or at least another member on this forum told me so....I can't remember his name...VWsumthin...:rolleyes:

Just so ! .

The deal is this : I have a broken back so I can no longer yank 'em out ~

It takes time & diligence to find that low miler wreck then beat the local Mercedes Mechanics to it.... I know I'll find one but I also know someone has a rusty or wrecked car they just want rid of... that one will be out of the car allready .

My buddy @ P-A-P sells me any engine for $250.00 outright , fan to flywheel , NO CORE CHARGE but I've gotta take my compression tester and battery , tools etc. as they don't test 'em , just toss good old cars (and a few wrecks) out in the rows..... :rolleyes:

When I was doing used cars all I cared about when I bought the cars was decent paint I could rub out them wax up , seats and running gear is easy & cheap when you buy Police Impounds .
