ebay seller---Whats up with this guy

ukchen2009 --he lists his origin as UK, in his auctions he says he is in Canada/USA, Feedback rating of 29. He only responds outside of ebay from his blackberry,-So there is No correspondence record? When I request a definitave US location , No reply, Watch out for this one!

I think we need to watch out for you!

He's probably got a fictitious business or llc, with a foreign account, and he's avoiding taxes.

I actually looked at those lenses yesterday too...

The only things that turned me off was the price + shipping and no returns for aftermarket lenses. Though I agree that responding to Q's outside of Ebay is a little bit weird.

The price is right for aftermarlet lenses--could be sent priority for cheaper---But he is obviously NOT in the US so if they are broke--
I remember this guy from last yr and this same dilema--He was using a different name then--(Thats why all the negative fb is erased probably).

I think you might be seeing more to it than there is. I typically respond to questions via email because ebay messages are a pain to use. If you want him to respond inside ebay, check the box that conceals your email address when asking him a question. It really doesn't matter if he is in the UK, US, or Canada. His detail seller rating is about 4.5 which is only fair in this ebay economy. Anyone who lives in Canada close to the border is going to want to ship from whichever side of the border the buyer is on. I suspect that he's making money on the postage.

I have bought two sets of euro lenses from this seller along with a pair of smoked tail lights. Shipping always takes a little while, but the product is always good. He was the only seller who had the proper smoked/dark red tail lights for the W124 for a reasonable price. The last set I bought for $90 turned from red to bright pink in under a year of UV exposure! The glass euro lenses probably aren't as thick as OG Bosch, but good luck finding a matching pair of any type of euro lens for under $50 shipped.

Just make sure you don't get UK lenses they drive on the Left side of the road so lenses are different pattern. But, he is probably a UK drop shipment seller. He never handles the product just sells it to you then forwards order to supplier in Canada who ships it out from Canada to USA.
