budget w123 euro lights, anyone?
found a pair of Bosch euros at the local yard if anyone's interested. Each lens has a small rock chip, but they could be filled with resin and used as-is if necessaalry. Forgot to ask price, but I doubt it would be $100 (probably a good bit less). Anyone interested? PM me asap if so. I can try to grab them tomorrow.

grab them regardless!

Nabbed 'em -- tfernandez had dibs as he emailed first. They were wired odd, though; they have dedicated Hella German relays and their own power source. Kinda nfty!

Replacement lenses are available. I think $60 each IIRC. Not cheap but a good solution for someone with more discriminating tastes. $100 is probably fair if in poor condition. If they have the vacuum pods inside and the reflectors, etc. are in good shape, i.e. not worn, rusted, damaged, you should be able to fetch $100 easily.
Just curious, how much did the salvage yard charge you? PM me if you're willing to disclose... |
They were $65 for the pair. Not bad at all. I just wanted to pass them along to a forum member -- I don't even have a W123 anymore! There are Depo replacement lenses available on eBay from time to time for next to nothing... and I have used windshield repair resin before on chips like these, and it worked out just fine.
