FS: 15" Bundts (4)-$1000?

A former member of the local MBCA is having a moving sale, and he has four ARC 7x15 23 offset Bundts (yes, bundts) for sale in Louisville (now moved to Boston). The ad is on

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/pts/1711553019.html

The way he described them to me is that they have slight curb rash and need refinishing, no caps; the curb rash is minor and repainting alone might eliminate it. If you are interested, PM me and I can get you in contact with him (he is in the middle of a move).

I think you can get brand new ones from the classic center for about $1350. Why pay a grand for ones which need refinishing?

If that is for four of them, I'd agree - but last time I checked, 15" bundts were over $1000 ea there. 14" bundts - another story, most widths (except 6.5") are common as dirt.

Last time I was at Classic Center, they were $900 each. I guess $550 is a steal?

About a year and a half ago I was quoted $1360 plus shipping on the phone with the classic center for a set of four 15 x 7 bundts.

Are the bundts conical or ball-seat? I have a set of conical-seat BBS locks in the correct size, no ball-seat ones though.

My '73 280SE 4.5 that I bought recently came with a set of five (5) 15" bundt wheels that were in the trunk.

One is in near perfect condition, another is in good shape, the others need refinishing.

Maybe I should get them all refinished and put on the Red Barron.

Congrats! Great deal indeed. They'd be perfect on your 4.5.

It is misleading, the measurement is the diameter of the inside of the rim. The measurement from lip to lip is 15".
