I am beginning to think I am looking for a needle in a hay stack...
I have a '92 400E with the original becker front end...pre sired for CD changer in trunk. Does anyone know of a source for refurbed or salvaged cd changers that work with my auto's configuration? With all the cable adapters and converters needed for aftermarket changers, the price becomes prohibitive...in such a case, it seems reasonable to change out front end and add cd changer...any help would be appreciated... |

I brought a used 6 CD Alpine unit for my 91-300E two months ago, the unit came with a MB converter, and 2 cables connect to the rear AMP. Email me if you need more info.

Suggest contacting Steve Brotherton (stevebfl) from the tech thread. He co-owns Continental Imports in Gainesville, Florida and they repair and trade in Becker, Blauplunkt, etc. and are in contact with the Becker factory on a regular basis. Actually his brother, Scott, is the man for radios, but talk with Steve first and tell him Brian with the 600 SEL sent you. Their # is 352-377-6604.
