Virtual Boneyard (free parts)
Forgive me if there has already been a thread started with this same intent, but another forum I frequent has a "Virtual Boneyard" section wherein folks can give away parts that they don't need and aren't worried about making $ from. Perhaps a simple "free:" ad in the parts forums is best, but I thought I'd try a thread to see if anyone else hops aboard!
I have a couple meager offerings -- one headlight switch for (I think) a W114/115 (came off a 75 300d I believe) one pair pretty nice chrome headlight trim from a 1972 220D Yours for cost of shipping!

Ok
Brand new center drive shaft bearing and old emergency flasher switch the big one with the flashing circuit built in plus plenty of chrome rear power window switches lest I forget a good W115 AC pump.

How about trading parts. You got something I need, I got something you need. Could always pony up the difference in cash or other parts if they are not of equal value.

I will trade oh boy great EURO W123 head lights or other goodies for a complete w126 sunshade. also have a 220D engine with 140K miles with a rebuilt head not installed trade for crack free black 220D dash or?

116 Bumpers
I also have what I believe are 116 bumper parts. Front and rear. The numbers molded into the rubber begin with 116.
But the could be US bumper parts from a R107 chassis. Anybody wanna trade? I can provide pictures.

great idea
This may help clean out my garage, time to see what is laying around.
A couple of years ago I was at the big Charlotte Autofair. The whole infield at Lowes Motor Speedway is covered with vendors and folks selling their stuff. A guy has a '48 chevy there and several baskets of parts on a table. There was a sign saying "i finished mine, help yourself to finish yours" What a great attitude. Chuck
