Parting an 1987 W124 Chassis

All parts are in Columbus, Ohio 43201
Local pickup is preferred but I will ship at your expense.

I say chassis because the complete engine and transmission are mine.

The car is a 1987 300D Turbo. Gold over Palomino.

Interior - Car sat outside for 6 years, but had window tint
-The drivers seat is trash, but the passenger and rear seats would probably clean up well with that dye people use. I will let the seats go very cheap since they are fixer uppers.
-Dash has one crack in it, but could probably be used, better than many I've seen
-Wood around the HVAC is decent, console wood is NOT
-Cluster looks good, 180k miles

Body
- All Parts will need repainted
-Trunk looks good
-Drivers side doors and passenger front doors look good
-Hood looks decent
-Sunroof looks good
-Passenger fender looks decent
-Taillights look good

Chassis - Car sat on the ground without rims for 6 years
-Front suspension appears complete
-Rear subframe is missing the rear springs and some idiot cut the rear sway bar and brake lines to get them out. But control arms don't look bad.
-Washer fluid bottles, master cylinder, fuse panel, all random stuff is all fair game
-All glass but the windshield and passenger rear 1/4 glass look OEM and good

I'd like to sell whatever I can before the car goes to the crusher. I bought it to save the motor but there are definitely some usable parts on this car that would be a shame to crunch.

Pics!

In these pics I didn't even try to wipe the car off.

Is the driver's side interior mirror trim in good shape?

DieselPaul 06-08-2010 11:09 PM

Yes it is, the passenger is not.

Bumping it back up, come on folks, W124 parts!

well I need a black drivers fender so your car will not work.... unless I could get it painted for cheap.

1977busman 06-09-2010 09:21 AM

do you have pictures of the hvac and center consol wood? Also will your washer fluid bottle fit in my 92 124?

DieselPaul 06-09-2010 09:58 AM

Drivers fender is crunched.

The washer fluid bottle is setup for dual pumps, for headlight sprayers.

Center console wood isn't good, welcome to W124s in humid climates.

The HVAC controller works well, but the sticker on the roller is a bit bubbly, I'll try to get pics tomorrow.

1977busman, you're only about 40 minutes from me, if you're bored on sunday and need other parts you're welcome to come look at this POS in person.

I really dont need anything major, and ive seen this on craigslist for awhile now. If the washer fluid doesnt leak then i may be interested in that...

DieselPaul 06-10-2010 10:39 AM

I texted you a pic last night to verify it was the right trim piece.

does it have the becker grand prix audio stereo? if so how much do you want for it,and is it in operating cond?

DieselPaul 06-13-2010 01:34 AM

It has an aftermarket Sony CD player in it. So does my '94 parts car, does the '91, and so does the '87. I've never had a w124 with a stock headunit haha. Sorry.

DieselPaul 06-14-2010 06:27 PM

Sending this back to the top, come on people...

ANY part, ANY. I am parting this car to the ground.
