Hello everyone,

I'm just feeling this one out. My buddy picked up a 560SEL last week and it needs air bags as the flex disc failed on the PO and popped em.

The EPC reports that 201,124,126s all share the same driver air bag.

So if you have one, lemme know how much..

Or if anyone has a source..

I'm also looking for the passenger side airbag for the w126 or some way to retrofit a glove box in or something.

I've got both driver and passenger bags from a 1992 400E that I'm parting out.
$45 each delivered in the 48USA. You would need to verify for your application.

I just checked the EPC, looks like the passenger side bag is 126 only. I'm gonna have to hunt one down or somehow retrofit a glove box

Hanno, not to dive in here, but I'm 99% certain the 124 passenger airbag doesn't fit the 126 chassis. For one they look totally different.

I have a passenger airbag (its saffron) & the SRS module that maybe we could add to your drivers airbag (which are the same 126 & 124)?

I got both in the 1991 420 sel. Don't know how to remove either though.

How much would you want for em and what color is the passenger side? I'm not sure when but my friend and I might be able to give you a hand removing them. He's currently dealing with the below:


I've just heard that my buddy's other w126, the 300SE has been obliterated in an 100mph accident. His mom and sister were in it. It was hit by a drunk+high driver doing, the police estimate, 100mph. I've not seen photos yet, however I'm told the car is now in the shape of a U and most everything is broken in half. The fire dept had to cut the drivers side door to get his mom out. However, the Police also reported that if they'd been in any other car they'd probably be dead. I've not heard anything about their conditions though.
