Are you talking about the whole car? It was hit pretty hard from behind on the left side so it isn't salvageable

Do you know if the tank needs to be dropped to access the fuel sender? If you know exactly how to remove it that would help me get to it quicker. Thanks.

hi its very easy. It is accessed from the back seat. Take out bottom of seat then remove 3 bolts holding rear of seat in. Then on the drivers side metal that was behind rear seat back you will see a round plastic access cover. Behind that is the sender. To remove you need a big wrench but i have used a chisel to get it moving then it just unscrews. The fuel will drain out of the bottom of the cylinder. I would suggest draining fully. wrapping it in a rag then putting it in a zip lock bag prior to shipping so there will be no smell. Let me know $$$$ thanks mike

Sorry for not getting back to you Mike. I need the car to still be driveable right now. Will removing the fuel sender stop the flow of fuel to the engine and make the car undrivable?

hi, no not at all but you will need to put something over the hole so fuel wont slosh. The opening is at the dead top of the tank so if you are at a half or less will be no problem. mike

Thanks R.J.
I just returned home this morning and the bumper chrome was at my door..........well packaged.
I have yet to open and inspect, however, I suspect no problems.
FYI> R.J. is a stand up member of this Mercedes asylum!
