1983 Euro 200 with LPG for parts

I bought a 1983 Euro Mercedes Benz 200. It's a 2.0 liter (M123 I think) engine with a carb. The car was imported from Italy and has an LPG conversion with a big LPG tank in the trunk.

It has intact Euro bumpers and Headlights and the engine ran up until one of the dry rotted fuel hoses leaked which resulted in a small under hood fire.

The headlight are the two round bulb style euro's on the lower end models that look like the US lights, but with a flush piece of glass instead of sealed beams and uses H4 bulbs.

I will probably list these on ebay this week as they are easy to remove and ebay is offering free listings for a couple of weeks. The rest of the car will be parted out after mid September.

I bought it for the 5 speed which I plan to use in one of my cars but I plan to sell everything else.

It looks like it has aluminum wheels with hub caps (like the steel wheels but made from aluminum) and the KPH speedo cluster. The PO used the interior so it has no seats but the door panels are in good shape. It has electric front windows and manual rear windows and an electric sunroof.

I won't have a chance to get started on parting it until mid next month, but if anyone needs anything, please post a response to this page instead of sending me a PM as I usually delete PM's and would prefer to use this thread.

The M123 is a 2.5 liter 6 cylinder SOHC with a Solex 4A1. An 83 200 would have an M102 similar to the 190E 2.3 engine minus a quarter inch of bore and with a Stromberg side draft.

Is the LPG system any good after the fire? I'm interested in that.

With LPG, there is no fuel pump, just a tank and gauge in the back with a fitting so that it can be charge (located under the bumper on this car) and then some adapters at the carb up front. I have not lifted the hood since I bought the car but I can tell you that a lot got melted under the hood so I suspect that whatever part of the conversion that sits under the hood is toast.

Is the dash trim zebrano or trimmed perforated vinyl? I'm interested in a set of vinyl if cheap. 4 pieces, I think.

Some examples -

I am looking for a manual antenna. Does your 200 have one? If so what condition is it in?
