79 300 SD for parts...Florida
Everything but the diesel engine, transmission, and console shifter. These components are going into a 99 Ford Ranger. It is not a wrecked car, just abused by careless previous owner who left windows open for a long time. Exposure to rain, elements, and furry creatures has left the floors rusted, and the rest a little nasty. Many wonderful parts inside and out available, so let me know what you need. Bumpers, glass, lights, body parts, and more are still perfect!
I work odd hours on the railroad, so please correspond via E-mail to begin with. Car is in Brandon, Florida (near Tampa) I am not a Mercedes mechanic, but it looks like this 5 cylinder engine will fit into the Ranger nicely! If it pushed that huge sedan briskly, it should move a lighter truck even easier. I am hoping to build a high MPG commuter, and may dabble in an alternative fuel system someday, like vegetable oils, etc. Thanks, and I hope there is something you need here, before it goes to the crusher. Putting a 5 cylinder Mercedes diesel into a Ford Ranger has been done before, so it works (there was recently one for sale on craigslist). I've got a 1980 300SD so I'll try to think if there is anything I need.
