Wanted: 110 motor for 280TE

are they wagon motors with the sls? if so please tell me more

One was a wagon. The car arrived here dead, so I can't vouch for it. The FI system is dead. The motor would have to be checked for compression and cam cover removed to check for cam lobe wear.

What caused the engine to blow if you don't mind me asking?

my x wife ran it out of water

My understanding is that because of the sls pump, the wagon engine is not interchangeable with the e or ce. Is this correct?

The SLS pump on the M110 is driven off one of the cams as I recall, if you have your original engine you should be able to remove those parts and install them on another M110 fairly easily. There is a cam end cover corresponding to each cam as part of the "cam box", you can see them at the front. The cover is held in place with 3 or 4 machine screws. One of these covers would be removed and the SLS pump installed in its' place. I dont think you need to R&R the driving cam but maybe the sproket on it's end.
