There are US parts fiche, Euro parts fiche, service manuals. The US set will say so on the later body fiche (ie W116, W123, etc). It will be ambiguous for the 60s models.
The service fiche are all outdated. Stick with the paper manuals, unless of course, you have the later fiche (colored headers) that include things found only in the WIS system these days. Also people tend to like the transmission & M100 fiche because the books are hard to find. HTH -CTH |

I used to buy them when I bought a car, so I'd have the parts breakdown (before all of this internet access), still have them around for a couple of cars. Pretty useless now IMO.

Can't comment on all MB trans. fiche but the one I have (722.3) is step by step diagnosis and repair including specs and data for the transmission. Way more detailed than what you find for other vehicle systems in the regular factory print and CD manuals commonly available.
Fiche readers are cheap if you find them locally but take up lots of space. I've Googled converting microfiche to pdf. Genealogists run into this issue and claim desktop slide scanners can be adapted. There are (sometimes) Canon products on eBay (as I recall) that can read and print fiche. Not expensive for what it does but super heavy so shipping kills most deals. |
