Thinking Of Getting Rid Of These 15" Centra Wheels
I think these wheels are too big and heavy for my 300SD. They're 15"X7" ET23 Centra wheels that were made in Germany. I am using them on my daily driver 1980 300SD but I want to go back to the original style 14" bundt wheels. These are the very rare "large star" version. I have never found another set for sale, ever.
They fit the W116, W123, W126, etc fine, but I also have the wheel spacers for them. I don't think they will clear the rear fender in the SL or SLC series. These are heavy steel wheels. The chrome is showing age and flaking in spots (especially on the insides). The holes in the center caps where the lock screws go are a bit rough. One of the lock screws is missing but I have the other 3 and the lock tool. One of the star logos has the outer ring broken off. What are they worth? I paid $200 for them after talking down the seller from $400. I know the center caps and stars are completely unobtainable as I have tried to find replacements. I might sell the caps by themselves if the price is right.
