Cool OEM 16 inch 500SL rims Chrome

Hi, I have a set of 4 OEM Chrome 16 inch rims that came of a 1991 500SL, they were on the car for 54,000+ miles, I just change the rims so I need to get rid of these, looking for $200.00, obo for the set. If you want to come by and look at them, just let me know, I am in Orange County, Ca. Thanks

I would be interested in seeing the pictures as well. Are these 8 hole wheels?

Have a great day,

I don't know what wheels are for sale but... 90-91 R129s came with 16x8" 15 hole wheels -- 8J16H2 ET34 if I remember. Won't fit the rear of a 126 sedan without spacers. I have a original finish wheel if anyone wants a spare to go with 16ver's set.

Wink He's Right

Hi, Sixto is right, they are the 16 X 8, with 15 holes, I will get pics by this weekend, and try to post them up, if not i will send them to any one who requests them. Like I said before, they have been on the car for about 54,000+ miles, and for 10+ years that is really not much driving. Thanks for looking

So do I understand correctly that these style wheels will only fit the rear of my 86 300 SDL with spacers ? If so ,how thick ? Do they hit the calipers or suspension or inside fenderwells or what ? just curious as I really want stock benz chrome wheels for my car. Thanks for the info.

16ver,

Were they on your 16V? I might be interested and I live in Huntington Beach. I am looking for a set a rims for my wifes 16V to replace some ugly aftermarket wheels. Email please.

On my car, they contact the bulge in the frame where there is a bump stop. Looking into the left side wheel well, it's about at the 10 o'clock position.

I don't know what size spacers make them fit. 5mm might do it. Be sure to get lug bolts that account for the spacer.

Do you have a non-chromed 16x8 8-hole 500SL wheel (most likely the spare) you want to get rid of?

Thanks,
:-) neil

Send me pics too, please.

I already have the "chromies" on mine, but for $200, I can keep them around in case one gets damaged, and use another on the spare...

They would make great air hose reels too when I get my garage remodeling done!!!

Cool Hi Everyone

Hi, I will try to answer so questions here, and by the way the pictures will be ready by this weekend. (Keep fingers crossed). Anyway, vlung about your question, sixto might be able to better answer that question (thanks in advance sixto).
tinker, these rims acutally came off my dad's 500 SL, and sorry I already sold my stock rims from my 16V (which were 15in.), but these rims will fit your wife's 16v with no problem, because this was the same rims they used on other 16V in Europe in later model years. (I have 17in on my car now, and they fit with no problem.)
ke6dcj, sorry but the spare is the same as the others except that it is not chorme. Hope this answers some questions, if you have more please ask. Hopefully pictures would help, sorry this is so long. Thanks for looking.
