i picked up a w105 219 with no title so i don't know the exact year
complete car, inside storage for 25 years let me know what you need thanks gregg |
Is it possible to get a title? your DMV could tell you the last owner, if they've died you can get the next in kin to sign a title for you. unless it's not worth saving, then of course parting it out would be best

two digits of the chassis number are the year reversed. Ie 75 == '57 (but with 00 == '60)

219 ended in '59, so there won't be a '00 and late in '59 Mercedes changed the way they did the VIN's anyway, so you couldn't easily tell from the VIN after that what the year was. Go to www.mbzponton.org for a whole lot more info.
