FS: Super Sprinter Diagnostic System

This is a diagnostic system for the Sprinter (either Freightliner or Dodge badged) Models (Pre-'07) with 5 cylinder OM 612 or OM 647 Mercedes engines. Also works on pre-'06 Mercedes cars (for example E320 CDI) that has the OBDII connector. I bought this system with the intention to use on the new MB diesel and a Sprinter I planned to buy to convert to a minimalist camper.

This system was made for some of the large corporations in Europe (supposedly by Mercedes Benz that owns the Freightliner company). The only diagnostic system that has more capabilities than this is the Mercedes Star Diagnostic System (SDS) (10/10 scale) which is only available at the Mercedes dealerships. Even the $10,000 Snap-On Modis (5/10 scale) does not match the capabilities of this system (7/10 scale) . The typical generic scan tools such as ScanGaugeII can only qualify for 1/10 scale.

This system will scan and communicate with Engine module, Transmission module, Shifter module, ABS/ESP module, SKREEM (immobilizer) module, Climate Control module, Instrument Cluster, Heater booster/Aux Heater, Central Timer module (remote door locks), Airbag/seat belt module and more. It provides FACTORY fault codes with description and in most cases snap-shot data showing various parameters at fault set-time and real time sensor outputs. This system will enable you to flush the brake systems that are computer controlled on the Sprinter models.

The system includes a German made multiplexer box, Super Sprinter Diagnostic Software CD, and a 208-page Sprinter Diagnostic Code book. The multiplexer box has a standard OBDII connector that will connect to the Data Link Connector (DLC) on the Sprinters (located above the hood release lever). The other end of the multiplex box has a serial port (RS232) that connects to the computer that has the software.

Large pictures of the system are at Super Sprinter Diagnostic System pictures by tq190 - Photobucket

This is a great tool to have if you have a Sprinter and after '96 MB cars that have the OBDII socket. This system not only will allow you to pull the codes and reset the code but also allow you to retrieve the live data to find out where the fault is.

Asking for $400 + Shipping & Insurance.
