Unhappy WTB - om606 IP

I know, I know. They're practically indestructible.
But I need one.
As for how mine broke, stupid hillbilly mechanic "torqued" it on and broke the flange where it mates to the engine.

I'm interested in both working and fixable pumps.

Please let me know if you've got one or have a source for one.

Thanks!

If its anything like a 603 pump, I'd be willing to bet a skilled welder could weld it back together south of the mountain of gold someone is going to want for the whole pump.

The crack extends into the body of the IP so welding is unfortunately not an option.

Any ideas on locating a pump?

I'm definitely interested.

Is there any interchangeability between the om606 and om603? I didn't think there was?

Yes- however the 606 has some electronic controls and the 603 does not. If you plan on any modifications to produce more power then you'll need a 603 IP. The only mod you can make with the stock IP is a standard 606 specific diesel tuner "chip". So yes many people have used with success a 603 IP on a 606.

Oh well this is the NA model and I'm not planning to add a turbo anytime soon. Thanks for the offer though!

I don't think there is any reason the 603 IP will not work in that case. I could be wrong, but in any case if you cannot find one let me know.
