92 400E SALE
I took the pics as a collage so that as parts are sold, they will be deleted... no need to update the listing....The car is complete, inspected and registered. The last time I drove it was....Today.... last week reverse started sounding like a manual tranny. I backed the car into the garage, changed the fluid/filter and added some of that Lucas (snake oil) tranny conditioner. Pulled the car out and then reverse wen ballistic. When I tried to back up the first few times, it would go back about a foot and then the car felt like I was backing onto a curb. Now when I engage reverse, it feels like I'm backing against a wall or a tree. Reverse engages, but the car simply will not roll back. All forward gears go and shift fine.
So Motor is tops...Mobil 1 for life. No issues. Rails / chains have been done once in the life of the motor...mid 100's I believe. 20yr old car ...stopped keeping records as the value went south of $5k. AC - ICE COLD! Did the core myself. Documented here on the forum. My names been around here forever. This car is well known. Its just that now, I think its time to let her go. She's been real good to me. I hate to put the old girl down, but with the expense associated with tranny rebuild/ replacememt even with a used one, its just not worth it to me. I'd rather part her out and recoup some of the expenses I've poured into her over the past few years. The car is Black/Black. You'll notice the AMG "Hammer" wheels...They ARE part of the sale package...(close up pics added) I know some of the door panel are cream but I have the other 2 black one for the front too....OR I also have the other 2 cream ones for the rear...I also had the header panel redone in black cloth and had the sunroof panel dyed black. Thats a neat deal for someone wanting to give their car a truly unique look. All head and tail lights work. Oh and I almost forgot, the car is lowered courtesy of Eibach Springs / Koni Adjustable Shocks(Renntech spec'd) , K-mac Rear camber All relays work....This is a perfectly running/driving registered and TXDOT Inspected car....except Alas it no longer has reverse....... Guys if someone wants to give her a good home before she's picked clean, I'm agreeable to that. I'm not looking to get rich off the car. I need her to be gone...SOON. In the interest of moving a unit VS haggling / sticker dickering, I'd rather come to a peaceful honest righteous price(either on the whole or the sum of the parts so that its a win/win for all interested parties. As far as pricing goes, say you want the headlights , I'm gonna look on the net... car-parts.com is a good boneyard site as well as Ebay for reference and price the stuff according to what the average is for the pieces. Fair enough?... Let the bidding begin |

Sell it whole. It looks to be in way too nice of shape to chop up.
