You really should go to the "userCP" link and fill out your profile. It helps people to know what year and model mercedes you have especially when looking for parts. The 300TD was made in 2 different body styles (T123 and T124) and the first style T123) had 2 different patterns for the headliner material.

I don't think any of the 124's had manual sunroofs, did they? Thought that was 123 only...

Anyhow, OP would be helpful to fill out your sig.

OOPS, must have missed the part about it being a manual roof. I guess some of the Euro model T124 cars could have had a manual roof, not sure about that.

A couple of thoughts (assuming w123 wagon):

1) An automatic sunroof panel will work. You just need to carefully cut a hole. I actually managed to mess up cutting one...

2) You can have your existing panel recovered at an upholstry shop. Unfortunately, if you're car is 82 or older the vinyl won't match exactly. Only the "newer" palamino vinyl color is still available.

Good luck searching. They're hard to find in good condition and some sellers want kind of a lot of money...

Thanks for the info. I probably will go the upholstery shop route. It is irksome when you mess one up. That is why I am looking for a replacement. I tore mine when removing it. Thanks again.

Yep. That's how I messed mine up too. Always remove that handle first. Always.
