WTB: Euro M110 engine

Newest patient in my old Benz home is a 1983 280SE. Gorgeous rust-free one owner car. Nautical blue, crank windows, the Euro works... M110 is sick. Bad leak down numbers, low compression on 3 cylinders.

If anyone has a good M110 Euro motor, please let me know about it. Not looking to spend a mint but I realize that quality isn't cheap.

I am of no help with the motor, but does this car have a manual trans too?

I have an excellent one in a running car. the motor has been freshened recently and has very low miles on it.

No, it's an automatic. Rebuilt two years ago, shifts *perfectly*...

That rebuilt euro motor sure sounds cool...wonder that all it'd take to put that into a USA carb'd chassis.
Off topic: I used to have a spare euro M110 engine, but had to sell it off when I thought I could sell my 280C...looks like since I can't sell it, I'll have to pony up some $ to fix/keep it.

M110 - New Rebuild

I have new rebuild M110 longblock from 1978 280 SE automatic. Complete lower rebuild Complete head rebuild. Chain is in place. You would need to use your cams & carrier because the cams have to match the carrier. Customer stuck me with it. Akron, OH. Could ship Yellow Freight. Call for more details. Terry Meager 330-645-6949

It, of course, bolts right in. Complete euro exhaust including the exhaust manifolds as well.
