PS: new ones will most certainly be nicer than anything you can find used.

You can get them new from several vendors. A better bet would be to replace the whole fixture with a European spec one.

I have a pair on my eighty five that I am going to replace with euros. I assume they are the same but am not sure.

I've got a pair of lights in my garage from my '89 (replaced with Euros). Doors were pretty cloudy as i recall, but intact. I'll try to get at them tonight, otherwise it will be next week.

Too bad it didn't happen a few weeks ago--i was in Joliet for the NASCAR races--and the rain, and the rain and the rain!! :P

...and I work about 5 miles from the Joliet racetrack too!! I am sourcing a replacement set for a friend. I put the feeler out hoping one of my MB cronies would have a nice set lying around after upgrade. Greenacres2, I will look for your email in a week or so. No rush on this. Otherwise if no one has a set to spare, I will suggest to him a new set or an upgrade to Euro's. Thanks for all the advise.

IMHO it's not worth putting $0.01 into the DOT lights. Remove them, place them in the trash can where they belong, and get OEM Bosch fixtures. Worth every penny.
